Vivek Sood began his career as a sea cadet and quickly rose to become a Master Mariner, demonstrating leadership and integrity. After completing his MBA from The Australian Graduate School of Management, he joined Booz Allen & Hamilton, a global strategy consulting firm. He then sought out Dr. Wolfgang Partsch, one of the pioneers of Supply Chain Management (SCM), to learn the fundamentals of the field. Vivek co-founded a SCM strategy consulting company with Dr. Partsch, and later gained deep insights into SCM systems while working with Mercia Software, a UK-based company specializing in demand and inventory planning.

In 2000, Vivek co-founded Global Supply Chain Group, driven by a passion for building secure and sustainable global supply chains. His expertise has taken him to over 100 countries, consulting for Fortune 500 companies and leading transformation projects in industries like FMCG, Retail, Oil and Gas, and Heavy Machinery. Chris holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from MIT and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan. Chris is a Lean Sensei, Six Sigma Master Black Belt, PMP, CSM, and CMQ/OE certified. Prof (Dr) Kalyana C Chejarla is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Management Technology, Hyderabad. He is a PhD from the Indian Institute of Management (Lucknow), postgraduate from Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad), PGDBA & CFA from ICFAI Business School, and B.Sc. (Engineering) from National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur. Before moving into academics in 2014, he has worked for about 18 years in the supply chain domain at globally renowned organizations such as Tata Motors, HCL Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services and Dell International Services. During his corporate stint, he played diverse roles in digital transformation journeys of customers in US, UK and Japan.

He has published numerous cases and has recently authored a book titled ‘Lean Management for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises: Adapting Operations to Changing Business Environment’, published by Springer Nature. His areas of interest are operations, logistics and supply chain management, lean and quality management, business process management and decision making.
